Longhouse Types

Orkney Isles, ongoing

Taking the historic long house typology found throughout the Orkney Isles, we are developing a series of expanding long house types for the residential market. The key point is the dwellings have been designed in relation to the landscape setting and current settlement pattern developing on the islands. We are looking to develop as a series of kit houses in which our project Wheelingstone is considered a case study.
